Sign up for the Space Expo Summer School
Are you between 8 and 12 years old and crazy about space, rockets and planets? Then Space Expo has something fun for you! In May and June, you can trade in some boring Sundays for super fun, educational classes at Space Expo! We are organizing a Summer School under the name Space Expo College.
Themes and dates
On 4 Sunday mornings, we will give a presentation/lecture on a space-related theme. Afterward, we will conduct a number of experiments and tests.
We will gradually increase the difficulty of the themes. No prior knowledge is required, just a healthy appetite for learning about the universe. The following themes will be covered:
- May 31, 2026 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Space travel and rockets
- June 7, 2026 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Superpowers of satellites
- June 21, 2026 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Exoplanets and extraterrestrial life (full; registration closed)
- June 28, 2026 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Living on the Moon or Mars (full; registration closed)
The classes are independent of each other, so it is not necessary to attend them all. Participants who do attend all classes will receive a certificate during the final session!
Practical information
- Cost: €7.50 per class. Includes a glass of lemonade and a snack during the break. You can pay at our front desk on the day of the class.
- Location: The presentations take place in the Space Expo classroom. Our staff will be happy to show you the way!
- Museum visit: If you would also like to visit Space Expo, you can purchase a ticket at the front desk (€16.50). We also accept the Museumkaart.
- Supervision: During the class, the children will receive plenty of supervision from a museum guide. Parents are welcome to wait in the foyer or visit Space Expo.
