Space Expo is the visitor centre of ESA ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. At our museum you will learn more about the wonderous world of space and space travel.
At Space Expo, you will discover the world of space travel in all its facets. From designing and building space missions on earth to launching them into space. Touch a real meteorite, launch a hydrogen rocket and take a look inside André Kuipers' original Sojoez-capsule. Throughout the years, the museum's collection has been expanded with beautiful showpieces. There is also a lot of attention for the history of space travel and you can walk through a model of the International Space Station (ISS). Space Expo is a fun and educational trip for the whole family!
Please note: Space Expo may be closed for (part of) the day due to holidays and private events. Check the closing days here.
Currently at Space Expo: Go on a mission!
At Space Expo you design your own space mission. Do you take people to the moon? A robot to Mars? Or do you discover new stars in the universe? You can choose from up to six different missions.
Find out how we design, build and test space missions on Earth. In addition to interactive assignments, real objects from space travel are on display. There is a gigantic solar panel for a communications satellite, a test model of the Schiaparelli Marslander and a scale model of the ExoMars rover.
