What does the mission look like?

You will take a 60-minute, prearranged, safe COVID-19-proof tour of the museum, with plenty of time and space on the way to maintain a safe distance from other visitors. Leave earth behind you for a little while and enjoy everything about space and space travel. During this mission at the museum, people of all ages will discover what it means to be an astronaut. And of course, our younger visitors will have to help too!

Mission toolkit

All our young visitors (children aged 4 to 12) buy a ticket including a mission toolkit. It contains assignments and experiments they can carry out during the Mission at the Museum. Afterwards, the children receive an astronaut’s diploma signed by André Kuipers and an exclusive Space Academy Astronaut's Patch.

Are you 13 years or older and think you might you like to take part in assignments too? Don't worry, at the Space Expo counter you can also buy a mission toolkit at the last minute (€ 5.00 - you may only by debit card here).

Tickets

Please choose the date and time for your mission and buy your tickets now.
Due to the corona virus, we can currently only welcome visitors at a pre-booked time and date as shown on the entrance ticket. You can only book your visit online. Sale of entrance tickets at the door is unfortunately prohibited. This also applies to guests with one of the approved discount cards.

Children (4 - 12 years old) € 13.50

Children aged 4 to 12 buy a ticket including a mission toolkit. It contains cool assignments and experiments that they will carry out during the Mission at the Museum. Afterwards, they will receive an astronaut’s diploma signed by André Kuipers and an exclusive Space Academy Astronaut's Patch.

Adults (13 years and over) € 13.50

This is a standard ticket for visitors aged 13 and older. If you think you might like to join in the mission assignments, don't worry, at the Space Expo counter you can also buy a mission toolkit last minute (€ 5.00 - you may only by debit card here). Child (0 - 3 years old)

Children up to 3 years old have free entrance at Space Expo. This is a 0-euro ticket that allows you to book a time slot, because a time slot is also mandatory for children up to and including the age of 3. If your child would like to participate in the Mission at the Museum, book a ticket.

Visitors using a Museumkaart

Museumkids aged 4 to 12 years book a time slot and a ticket including a mission toolkit. It contains cool assignments and experiments they can carry out during the Mission at the Museum. Afterwards, they will receive an astronaut’s diploma signed by André Kuipers and an exclusive Space Academy Astronaut's Patch. Note: Bring your Museumkaart too!

Visitors using CJP (under the age of 18, no mission toolkit) € 12.50

Visitors using a CJP receive a € 1.00 discount p.p. and only have entrance if they have a valid CJP card and a Space Expo ticket with a valid time slot. Are you 13 years or older and think you might you like to take part in assignments too? Don't worry, at the Space Expo counter you can also buy a mission toolkit at the last minute (€ 5.00 - you may only pay by debit card here).

Don't forget to bring your Museumkaart, CJP card, Goede Doelen Loterij voucher or ESA badge & ID with you for your visit. Your card will be scanned and/or checked at the entrance to Space Expo at the same time as this ticket.

A safe visit

We will make sure that even in these difficult times, you can visit Space Expo safely. Please read all about our measures. We will expect the following from you:

  • Stay at home if you have a cough, sore throat or fever, or other cold symptoms. The same applies to the rest of your family/group.
  • Will you be arriving by car? Please leave your coat in the car.
  • Maintain a safe distance of 1.5 metres from other visitors at all times and follow our instructions.
  • Wash your hands, use our disinfection dispensers, cough into your elbow.
  • Taking photographs is not allowed (for the time being).

Due to the corona virus, we can currently only welcome visitors at the pre-booked time and date shown on your entrance ticket. Your visit can only be booked online. Sale of entrance tickets on our premises is unfortunately prohibited for the time being.

Time - 15 min: Arrival at Space Expo Noordwijk (Space Expo carpark)
Time - 10 min: Prepare and line up for launch (Space Expo entrance) 
Time - 5 min: Final inspection, ready for launch? (Space Expo foyer)
Time - 1 min: All systems go? (Space Expo foyer)
Time - 0 min: Start your engines and... lift-off = the time slot on your ticket! (space corridor)

The mission is in Dutch with English and German subtitles.
