Holiday program

This Christmas as Space Expo…
An exhibition: from a galaxy far away

Millions of people from all over the world love Star Wars. A space saga told in no fewer than nine films, divided into three trilogies. Space Expo loves Star Wars, too. And because there’s a new Star Wars film in the cinemas, we’re hosting a very special presentation at Space Expo, put together by several Dutch collectors. Our Christmas holiday program is all about… A galaxy far away!

Saturday December 21 till Sunday January 5

Christmas holiday

During the schoolholidays: open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Light sabre training

Always wanted to learn how to wield a light sabre? Take part in a light sabre training session this Christmas holiday. Let us show you how to protect yourself from ‘the dark side’ in space.
The training is given three times a day at the Central Core.
Times: 10:30-11:00 | 13:30 – 14:00 | 15:30 – 16:00.
Language: Dutch
Duration: Children can join in at any moment during the training.

Fun and educational talk: Star Wars versus reality

Star Wars takes place in a ‘Galaxy far, far away’, where the technology is far ahead of ours. In this fun and educational talk we’ll show you the differences, as well as the similarities, between Star Wars’ technology and our own.
Times: 11:30 - 12:00 | 14:30 – 15:00.
Duration: 30 minutes.
Language: Dutch
The lecture is interesting for children aged 7 and up.

Cinema

Grab a chair and immerse yourself in science fiction. In the Ariane room, you can watch the greatest Star Wars trailers on a big screen.
The film presentation lasts approximately 20 minutes and can be seen in the Ariane room (continuous presentation, except for during the lectures).

LEGO table in the Astronaut room

Of course, you will want to use the inspiration gained at Space Expo to build your own spacy LEGO creations in the Astronaut room.
Every day except December 22, 28 and 29 and January 4.

Special days:

Pose for photos with your movie heroes

Several interesting characters, that look like they’ve come straight from the Star Wars universe, will be walking around at Space Expo on December 22, 28 and 29 and on January 4. Take a selfie with your favourite movie hero.

On December 22: LEGO designer presentation

On December 22, Space Expo will be welcoming a very special guest: Niels Frederiksen. At LEGO, Niels is responsible for all Star Wars designs. He will be giving two presentations during the day.
